Is there a limit to how much I can download?
Absolutely not! It is yours to use 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. We DO NOT participate in fair use like many of the cell phone and satellite internet companies.
Do I need a phone line?
No, the service is wireless to your home or business.
Is this satellite internet?
No, our system uses land-based towers in and around the Southern Illinois area. This makes it superior to satellite in many ways.
How many computers can I hook up?
Multiple computers can be hooked up to the same connection with the purchase of a router.
Is it secure?
Extremely. All data is AES encrypted to 128 bits before it passes through the air. This equipment is similar to the equipment used by banks and other financial institutions.
Do trees affect my signal?
Typically trees are not an issue, but several trees between you and the tower can cause a problem. The installer is very careful to ensure trees will not be an issue at the time of install.
Does weather affect my signal?
Typically weather does not affect the signal or performance of your internet. The one exception is ice. Ice on antennas and trees will affect the transmission of wireless internet.
How does it hook up to my computer?
You will be given one 10/100 Ethernet connection to the internet with your basic installation. You may also use a complimentary wireless router to connect multiple computers.
Does it work with the latest game systems?
Our service is ideal for online gaming and has been tested with most mainstream gaming systems, but some features are only available with the purchase of a router.
Is there a contract?
Yes, there is a 2-year contract that may be terminated at any time for $85.
